You were tagged and sometimes that just takes somethinking.
Are you making any pretties? And I do believe we can speak and be spoken to by those who've passed. Rob's Grandpa came this summer. It was cool. It started with a smell, we were sitting on the couch watching a horse race. I asked if he smelt it? NO. Then suddenly Melvin's name popped into my head. I said "Did your grandpa smoke a pipe? Your grandpa Melvin?"
"Yes Why?"
"Is today his birthday?"
"No, It's in Nov.?"
"It's thier anniversary!" I shouted.
"Whose?"
Melvin and Ruths!"
"I don't know. Why all this about..."
I had raced downstairs to get the scrapbook about Ruth and Melvins love story, in was June 7. They got married on June 7 1939.
I ran back upstairs and said "yes, it is their anniversary. Your grandpa is here and says hi."
I had never met Mel he passed long before I met Rob. But there he was in my head, clear as a bell, wanting to say hi.Sara@iSasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12957397803528050139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290950583121417013.post-31853808510121409772008-11-11T06:55:00.000-08:002008-11-11T06:55:00.000-08:00I think someone else tagged me with this one a cou...I think someone else tagged me with this one a couple of weeks ago and I forgot! I'll have to go back in my comments and find out so that I am not a horrible blogging buddy. LOL. I doubt that I will get to it today, but possibly on Thursday...that will give me a couple of days to think of something interesting to say besides "I love to read." :o)Gwendolynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00240586927377902359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290950583121417013.post-82365367859027763722008-11-10T22:56:00.000-08:002008-11-10T22:56:00.000-08:00What a fun way to get to know our fellow artists/b...What a fun way to get to know our fellow artists/bloggers! :) I like that you had a story with each tidbit, it was a lot of fun to read! :) I dreamed a lot of my grandfather, too, who passed away when I was 7. I think it was his way of helping me deal with the loss at such an early age. I don't dream of him much these days, but I did feel like he said hello recently when I visited an old army base in Washington (possibly near where he was once stationed). Thanks for sharing!
NicoleNicole Austinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06821747734967553308noreply@blogger.com
